School of Special Educational Needs: Disability
Abe is currently Associate Principal at School of Special Educational Needs: Disability (SAEND), having previously been acting Deputy Principal at Applecross SHS, Bullsbrook District High School and Safety Bay Senior High School.
Abe’s journey into school leadership was complemented in stints as Principal Consultant at the Leadership Centre and West Coast Education Region and was Vice President of WASTA.
As a school administrator with SSEND Abe brings knowledge and skills in the inclusion sector.
Abe can contribute to WASSEA by adding a voice to the issues facing schools leaders in the disability sector.
Abe’s understanding and experience in this particular context will enable him to contribute meaningfully as part of the committee and represent school executives who manage diverse learning needs in schools.
Abe is keen to learn and share current research on coaching, teacher capacity building, development of self-paced learning modules and contributing to tangible solutions to the needs of schools.
Abe is passionate in supporting teachers and colleagues to achieve learning outcomes for all students in the public schooling system.
This is his first year as a WASSEA committee member.
