Nancy commenced teaching in 1990 and has held varying teaching and leadership positions at metropolitan schools, as well as extensive experience at the district/region and system levels – as Curriculum Manager and Principal Consultant for West Coast District/North Metro Region and as Manager Leadership and Teaching Development at the Institute for Professional Learning.

Nancy was appointed as Foundation Principal of Alkimos College in 2019 and had an exciting 12 month journey setting the school up, shaping the direction and vision of the school and preparing for its first cohort of Year 7s in 2020.

Nancy brings expertise in strategic planning, professional learning, instructional leadership and coaching. As a passionate advocate of public education and the role of school leaders in building the capacity of all staff to achieve optimal learning outcomes for students, Nancy joined the WASSEA committee to further extend herself professionally and is keen to support aspirant leaders.

Nancy is a previous recipient of the John Laing Professional Development Award (nominated by WASSEA in 2014).
