The first WASSEA Aspirant Event of 2021 will feature Stephanie McDonald, Director of the Leadership Institute. Steph will be speaking to aspirants about the path to becoming a school leader, with a focus on both the key transitional points that occur along the way, as well as the career pathway support that is available from the Department under the umbrella of the Future Leaders Framework, to those undertaking the journey.
The Leadership Institute runs a number of programs that aim to assist future school leaders in their development which Stephanie will be going over in detail, paying specific attention to career pathway transitional points and when each program is most relevant. Along with individual questions being addressed, some of the training which will be discussed includes the Emerging Team Leaders, Aspirant Principal Preparation, and Middle Leaders programs.

Cost: Free for WASSEA members, $50 for non-members
